Sarah Poulton is a native of Chapel Hill, North Carolina. She received her Bachelors of Arts in History from Hollins University and her Masters of Public Administration from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, where she is now a part-time faculty member. She served the City of Charlotte for ten years; four years with the City’s Solid Waste Services Department managing recycling and refuse contracts and six years with the City’s Procurement Management Division as the Services and Technology Team Leader. She has now served as the Town of Chapel Hill’s Downtown Special Project Manager for three years where she oversees the Town’s downtown investments, projects and initiatives as well as Town teams including the Meeting Facilitators and Chapel Hill Peoples Academy. In her free time, she is an equestrian, triathlete, and prenatal fitness instructor.
